How to Buy Bitcoin in UAE With AED Bank Transfer (1,000 AED Example)

Send AED from your own bank, buy BTC spot, then check the withdrawal.

What the example shows

To buy Bitcoin in the UAE with an AED bank transfer, confirm which entity serves your emirate, finish KYC, send AED from a UAE bank account in your own name, buy BTC on spot, and read the withdrawal terms before moving it. In Dubai, Binance FZE is the first fully documented AED bank-transfer rail until your Bybit Dubai account shows its own funding terms. Outside Dubai, check Bybit's federal UAE entity first where your account shows the AED rail and BTC spot. In the hypothetical example, 1,000 AED reaches a wallet as 0.003946 BTC.
Not for U.S. residents. In Dubai, if Bybit shows no AED bank rail, check Binance FZE.

Hypothetical example - not a live price, quote or account rate

Result: 0.003946 BTC reaching your wallet

How much BTC reaches your wallet from a 1,000 AED bank transfer?

(1,000 AED deposit − 0 AED deposit fee − 1 AED trading fee) ÷ 250,000 AED per BTC = 0.003996 BTC. Then 0.003996 BTC − 0.00005 BTC withdrawal fee = 0.003946 BTC.

Not included: your bank's fee, price movement after the preview, tax, funding holds, withdrawal availability or minimum, and any provider fee. This is one direct trade; an AED → USDT → BTC route needs both fills and both fees.

  1. Deposit: 1,000 AED from a UAE bank account in your own name.
  2. Exchange deposit fee: 0 AED, a hypothetical input. Your own bank can still charge.
  3. Spot trading fee: 0.10% of 1,000 AED = 1 AED, a hypothetical input and not any venue's or account's rate.
  4. Price: 250,000 AED per BTC, a hypothetical executable quote and not a live price. Because it is executable, spread is not subtracted again.
  5. BTC before withdrawal: (1,000 − 0 − 1) ÷ 250,000 = 0.003996 BTC.
  6. Bitcoin withdrawal/network fee: 0.00005 BTC, a hypothetical input and not a current venue fee.

Which entity serves you

Check Bybit, then Binance, then OKX, but only among the entities that show you the AED rail and BTC spot.

  • Dubai: VARA lists Bybit Fintech FZE as active from 2026-10-20 for Exchange Services and retail investors, and Bybit says spot only. That does not establish AED bank funding, derivatives, its Dubai fee or a tested account. Until your Bybit Dubai account shows its own funding terms, Binance FZE is the first fully documented AED bank-transfer rail.
  • Outside Dubai: check Bybit's federal UAE entity first, only where your account shows the AED rail and BTC spot, then Binance or OKX as suitable. Its 0.55% AED-pair notice and 5% VAT on applicable fees belong to the federal entity, not to Bybit's Dubai entity.
  • OKX UAE: a documented alternative. It uses a same-name local UAE bank account and its help page states no OKX bank-transfer fee. Your bank may charge, and the live preview decides limits and time.
  • United States: no route here. Global Bybit, Binance and OKX are not for U.S. readers; use the U.S. Bitcoin bank route instead.

Eight steps to your first BTC spot buy

Do these in order. Stop at any step your own account does not show.

  • 1. Confirm your residence, the entity serving you and that it offers BTC spot.
  • 2. Complete KYC on that entity.
  • 3. Use a UAE bank account in the same legal name as the exchange account.
  • 4. Read the deposit fee, minimum and expected time before sending AED.
  • 5. Choose direct BTC/AED when available, or AED → USDT → BTC when that is the documented route.
  • 6. Read the executable quote and every trade fee.
  • 7. Buy BTC spot, not futures.
  • 8. Before moving BTC to a wallet, read Bitcoin-network withdrawal availability, fee and minimum, plus any funding hold.

Direct BTC/AED or AED → USDT → BTC?

Direct BTC/AED is one trade, with one fee and one spread. AED → USDT → BTC is two trades, which can mean two trading fees plus extra spread or slippage. Neither is universally cheaper, so compare the BTC each preview would actually deliver.

A two-trade ledger needs both fills and both fees. A prefunded balance matters only where your route requires it.

How this page was checked

Trade Shortlist relied on the official pages listed below, each with its own check date. We did not open an account, deposit, receive a quote, take screenshots or buy Bitcoin for this guide. The 1,000 AED ledger uses fixed teaching inputs, not a live price, an account rate or a claim about any exchange, and Bybit's federal AED-pair rate is not used in it.

What this example does not promise

  • Every AED and BTC figure in the ledger is a hypothetical input or the arithmetic from those inputs. It is not a live price, an exchange quote, an account rate or a trade anyone placed.
  • This is one purchase, not a recurring result. Do not scale it into income.
  • Entity, onboarding, AED funding, limits and withdrawals vary by residence and account. Your logged-in previews decide them.
  • Not for U.S. residents. Do not use another person's bank account or try to bypass KYC.

Check Bybit first if the UAE entity serving you shows the AED rail and BTC spot. In Dubai, if your Bybit account does not show AED bank funding, Binance FZE is the first documented rail. Not for U.S. residents.

FAQ

How do I buy Bitcoin in the UAE with an AED bank transfer?

Confirm the entity serving your emirate, finish KYC, and send AED from a UAE bank account in your own name. Then read the deposit terms, buy BTC on spot from an executable quote, and read the Bitcoin withdrawal terms before moving it.

How do I buy Bitcoin in Dubai?

Follow the same steps on a Dubai-serving entity. Bybit Fintech FZE is VARA-listed for spot exchange services, but that does not establish AED bank funding. For a documented Dubai AED bank transfer, Binance FZE is the first full rail until your Bybit Dubai account shows its own funding terms.

Is direct BTC/AED cheaper than AED to USDT to BTC?

Not universally. Two trades can mean two trading fees and extra spread or slippage, but quotes differ by account and moment. Compare the BTC each preview would deliver.

How much BTC does 1,000 AED buy?

It depends on your live quote and fees. In this page's hypothetical ledger, (1,000 − 0 − 1) ÷ 250,000 = 0.003996 BTC, and 0.003996 − 0.00005 = 0.003946 BTC reaches the wallet. Those inputs are not live prices or venue fees.

Does Bybit's 0.55% AED-pair fee apply in Dubai?

Do not assume so. That notice belongs to Bybit's federal UAE entity. Bybit Dubai's fee was not established by its licence or announcement, so read it in your own account.

Can U.S. residents use this route?

No. Global Bybit, Binance and OKX are not routes for U.S. readers. Use the documented U.S. Bitcoin bank route instead.
